Most of us either went to high school or college together.
When I was getting the team together, I was calling my teammates asking for their opinions on names, my one friend Gabe said "Destroyers" and we went with it.
The hometown I am from is called Midvale Ohio. We have about 600 people and everyone else lives in cities a little bit bigger, Jameson lives in Gnadenhutten where most of us went to high school, Andy lives in Tuscarawas where most of us went to middle school and Tommy lives in Dover which is a completely separate school district (Jameson met him in college).
We use 6 eight-inch rubber coated foam balls and our court size is a little bigger, there is no neutral zone however, only a middle line. We are allowed to go out the backline to retrieve balls and if we catch a ball the person who threw it is out, but we don't bring anyone back in, the games are also timed 5 minutes each game.
Our usual leagues are tournaments sponsored by the National Amateur Dodgeball Association (NADA).
Tommy Johnson on the first day down at Vegas put three dollars in one machine and won one hundred dollars on nickel slot machines.
At Vegas we were 2-4 but in the NADA play we are in individual games 48-10 in series play we are 18-3.
No, dodgeball is the only sport we play together.
We just all loved the game growing up, and there is nothing more fun than hitting other people with dodgeballs.
We play both, me personally I prefer outdoor, but the good thing about indoor is that you can play anytime, anywhere.
Shane A.K.A. Meatball, he came to us with that name. Tommy A.K.A "T.J. Money" he also came to us with that name, but he has a dollar sign tattooed on his arm.
We usually meet on Saturdays when we are all at college, during the summer 2 or 3 times a week.
